Necrobarista is Pouring an Early 2019 Release on PC, PS4 and Switch

Can we fast forward to 2019? Please?

Route 59 Games have revealed more details about their visual novel Necrobarista ahead of its roadmap until 2019’s release. PS4 is now included in the available platforms along with PC and Switch, and there will be a free demo prior launch on Steam to finally get to know what this intriguing story about coffee and people coming back to life is really about.

Set in Melbourne, Australia, players will discover the story inside a supernatural coffee-house. Rumours say the dead are able to return to spend one last day on Earth, settling unfinished business o saying goodbye to love ones before parting ways into eternity.

Both the new and previous trailers showcase a set of cool looking characters in the coffee shop, along with a brief glance at the gameplay itself, mixing point-and-click moments to discover more about the world surrounding them and stylish dialogue vignettes in conversations.

As seen in the footage, there’s a dynamic camera that actually takes part within the game itself, as the game pans from one angle to another in a very unique way. It seems almost like watching an anime brought to life sometimes, which also resonates with the general aesthetic and topics of the story.

Also in Melbourne, Route 59 Games started working on Necrobarista back in 2015 and, according to the lead designer Kevin Chen, the game is “a fresh new take on the visual novel”. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow the devs on Twitter.
