You are what remains.
You’re the one that’s made it through.
You are not a shell but a pure vessel of life.
You have encountered paved and broken paths on life’s adventure and, along the way, discovered the mirrors of ourselves we call friends.
A reflection,
A fragment,
Each is a piece of ourselves outside our bodies. Clarity in human form.
And though you’ve learned that these forms are not eternal, the remnants left behind can still spark purpose. They can breathe life into you where the void of darkness will try to take hold.
Because if you live long enough to bear the weight,
You’ll come to know that the power inside of you is far stronger than the demons you face.
The living legacy of the battles won.
The hope that must go on.
For you are what remains.
The one strong enough to carry the weight,
The one strong enough to quell the demons and put darkness in its place,
The one who made it through.
Strong enough to carry on.
To carry on with the fragments of love.
