From Software and Bandai Namco finally unveiled the release date of Dark Souls: Remastered for Switch, launching on October 19 for Nintendo’s handheld, after being delayed from its initial announcement for May 25th. Additionally, the Solaire of Astora Amiibo will also become available simultaneously.
Announced back in January and being the missing version due getting pushed back in late May, Switch owners will finally get to experience this fresh take on the modern classic. Bandai Namco also announced there will be a Network Test scheduled prior release, and details about dates will be shared soon.
Dark Souls Remastered includes Artorias of the Abyss DLC, an upgraded multiplayer system with up to 6 players in dedicated servers (either strong allies or merciful foes), and the sense of progression that made not only this game, but the series before and after so compelling to thousands of players. Backtracking an entire area after being defeated to get your souls back never gets old.
Pre-orders aren’t available for the game yet, but there will be both a digital and physical edition for it. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow From Software and Bandai Namco on Twitter.
