Observer is Hacking Its Way to Switch, Coming Later This Year

Get into people’s minds and investigate their stories.

Bloober Team is bringing their cyberpunk horror-esque game Observer to Switch this year, as announced today by the studio. It was only a tease at the beginning right when Pax West was starting, but now we have a full announcement trailer.

The studio gave us our fair of jump scares in the past with Layers of Fear, which arrived to Nintendo’s console as Layers of Fear: Legacy, along with its DLC called Inheritance. Observer follows a similar tradition, but in a sci-fi world in which players have the chance to hack into people’s memories.

In the shoes of the neural detective Daniel Lazarski, 2084’s take on our current reality will have you investigating minds in order to solve mysteries, involving a dark story of your own.

There isn’t an official release date for the time being, but if you’re into virtual reality, future dystopias or listening to Blade Runner’s Rutger Hauer voice, then Observer is worth keeping an eye on. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow the devs on Twitter.
