Bad North Has Embarked on Switch

Minimalistic real time strategy battles.

Plausible Concept and Raw Fury released their minimalistic strategy game Bad North on Switch today, as announced during the Nindies Direct earlier this morning. PS4 and Xbox One users will have to wait until August 28th, while the PC version will be available in late 2018.

In this mix of real-time tactics and roguelite elements, you’ll command small groups that are willing to fight until the end to defend themselves from viking hordes. Bad North is divided in a large number of procedural generated islands, and you’ll have the chance to recruit people to your cause along the way.

One of the most appealing aspects of the game is that you don’t need to control reach action separately: it only takes you to position your small army around the islands accordingly and plan for the best strategy to survive. They’ll do the rest by themselves.

Troops can also be upgraded with new skills, and while they might seem cut little units at first, it won’t take long for islands to be soaked in blood during each battle.

Bad North is now available for $14.99 USD on Switch, while PS4, Xbox One and PC versions will come out later this year. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow the devs on Twitter.
