The Red Strings Club, a cyberpunk narrative driven experience is out today

Serve drinks and design genetic implants.

The cyberpunk experience The Red Strings Club, developed by the minds behind Gods Will Be Watching, is out today on PC. Deconstructeam and Devolver Digital present a narrative driven game that lets you create and serve your own drinks at a bar, put yourself in the eyes of a freelance hacker and uncover the truth behind an evil corporation that wants to get rid of depression, rage and fear from society.

Why would someone attempt to prevent that from happening? Well, the friendly bartender and his hacker partner consider this so called ‘evolution’ a brainwashing method.

All the aspects surrounding the main characters’ objective is what intrigue me the most from The Red Strings Club. Instead of engaging in combat, players have to use a variety of tools to influence persons of interest. For example, the bartender has to read each client emotions and use that as an advantage when they order a drink, having to mix the right bottles in the process. The hacker can assume the voice of important figures of the corporation on the phone, and use their motivations against them.

Did I mention you can also design genetic implants?

The Red Strings Club is available for Windows, Mac and Linux on Steam, GOG and Humble for $14.99 USD, with a 15% discount until January 30th.
