Damnview: Built from Nothing is a Sandbox About Occidental Culture

A promising title releasing in 2019 for PC and consoles.

Sindiecate and Brainwash Gang revealed Damnview: Built from Nothing, a sandbox about different social classes featuring anthropomorphic characters and a grim story about doing what you can to survive.

Boxing matches, working in a grocery shop, walking through the streets with a knife in your pocket. Damnview: Built from Nothing relies entirely on your actions through this oppressive and dark world, with topics like different social classes, capitalism’s hostility and looking for a better future.

Will you sell drugs in the alleyways? Drive a cab? There are many ways to maintain your living, but everything will come to a cost. All characters you meet have their own stories and purposes in the city, and it will be key to choose relationships properly.

I’ve always wondered how a fully immersive sandbox would be, being able to take tasks and part-time jobs to actually interact with the environment, rather than doing it just on a nightclub or particular store. Damnview: Built from Nothing is not only looking to achieve this, but it’s a more personal and meaningful approach, diving into nowadays problematics that are happening just around the corner.

The game is stated to release in 2019 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow Sindiecate and Brainwash Gang on Twitter.
