Anamorphine Releases July 31 on PC, PS4, Vive and Oculus

A surreal story about mental health and recovering balance.

Artifact 5 is releasing Anamorphine, a surreal journey through the mind of an individual struggling with painful memories on July 31 for PC, PS4, Vive and Oculus at $19.99 USD.

The game led us to explore the troublesome mind of Tyler in a story about mental health, relationships and reflection, introducing itself as a different and noteworthy experience. The main character’s love, Elena, suffers a tragic accident that takes away her livelihood as a cellist, and by lending him a hand in this journey, players will try for Tyler to find peace in a story told through pure environmental storytelling.

I must say Anamorphine’s presentation looks stunning, and the fact that the developers chose to prioritize surreal scenes and a cello-focused soundtrack to let the narrative flow instead of dialogue and UI makes this upcoming title even more exciting.

Luckily there isn’t long to wait now, but if you are looking to know more about the game, you can listen NoClip’s Danny O’Dwyer with Samantha Cook of Artifact 5 to talk about mental health games and the team’s work on Anamorphine.

The game comes out tomorrow on PC, PS4, and VR devices (Oculus and Vive) at the price of $19.99 USD. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow the devs on Twitter.
