Overcooked 2, the sequel to the cooking friendship ruiner game from Ghost Town Games and Team 17 releases on August 7th for Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch. The game was revealed during Nintendo’s E3 2018 showcase with a new trailer and details about new content for the sequel.

The Onion Kingdom is in troubles once more in this couch co-op game, as reading from the Necronomnomicon has led to the surge of an undead bread army. Hey, there was a giant meatball in the first game, so this is more than reasonable. Following the same idea from its precessor, players will collaborate in unique dynamic kitchens to prepare different dishes in the shortest time possible. Oh, and along with local co-op, the sequel will feature online multiplayer.

The new dishes include sushi, pasta, cakes, burgers and burritos, which will (failed to) be prepared in all kind of new kitchens such as hot air balloons and a magical Wizard’s school. Moving walkways, controllable platforms and portals are also added coming to the sequel, along with the possibility to throw ingredients to other chefs or straight into a pan, blender or onto the floor.

Overcooked comes packed with all sorts of new chefs, including a cool looking unicorn, an alligator, a panda and more. Those who pre-order the game will receive the Too Many Cooks DLC pack including five chefs: Alien, Walrus, Unicorn, Monkey and Calico Cat. Lastly, if you ever dreamed with having Overcooked merchandise, you can find the new collection at Fangamer.
