Genesis: Alpha One Gets a September Release Date

Use DNA and aliens samples to clone your galatic crew.

Team 17 and Radiation Blue announced during E3 2018 PC Gaming Show that Genesis Alpha One releases September 4th in PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game mixes roguelike mechanics with a ship building system and first-person action.

Finding a new home for humanity’s DNA doesn’t sound like an easy task, but as the Captain of a Genesis starship, players will get the chance to build their own space vessel, explore the galaxy looking for resources and experiment with DNA and alien abilities to clone new crew members. The latest doesn’t sound creepy at all.

As we can see from the footage, Genesis: Alpha One seems to mix a really complex and deep base-building system with both offensive and defensive gameplay stances. The first happens when exiting your base to look out for resources in outer space, meeting the locals of the galaxy and taking their DNA for your cloning sessions later on. The second is when the alien force manages to enter your base, and seems you can even use turrets to aid you in battle.

Radiation Blue and Team17’s game comes out on September 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow both the devs and the publisher on Twitter for the latest news.
