Pinball FX3 receives the Bethesda Pack on Switch

Can’t wait to feel each bounce on the Cyberdemon with the HD Rumble.

Zen Studios announced today that the Bethesda Pack, featuring pinball tables inspired on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, DOOM and Fallout 4, is now available for Switch users. Along with the possibility of playing them on the go, both HD Rumble and Portrait mode are also available in Pinball FX3’s port.

Initially released on September 2017, we are finally receiving new tables for this version. It’s easy to comprehend that Zen Studios is still trying to get back some of the licenses obtained for Pinball FX2, and, understandably, Switch’s version will take a bit longer.

While this port was highly praised for Switch users, there were some complains due to the differences of framerate between handheld and docked mode, getting 30 fps on the former. Personally, I didn’t see it as a problem, but the devs commited to try and achieve the same performance for both modes.

Also, they are looking to increase the resolution in docked mode to Full HD (1920×1980). All of this, of course, will take some time as they need to test and improve each one of the tables individually. You can get the full details on March 14th blog post.

Pinball FX3 is available for free on Switch, offering a full original pinbal table called Sorcerer’s Table. The rest can be purchased separately or as part of bundles, including Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Portal 2 and others. The game is also available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
