Mind’s Eclipse Interactive, LLC have released The Mind’s Eclipse on both Steam and Itch.io. Introduced itself as a strange sci-fi visual novel, players will embody the famous scientist Jonathan Campbell in his search for his loved ones on a fallen utopia. Expect a narrative-driven gameplay filled with mystery, giant heads and a peculiar companion.
The year is 2352. We are in CORE, a private research station that has been teared apart. With the help of logs, journals and speaking with the few survivors out there, players will get to know more about their surroundings. All scenes in The Mind’s Eclipse are hand drawn, and the fact that everything is powered with a black & white tone makes for an unique atmosphere.
A message from the CORE itself have made its way unto the announcement, which reads: “There will always be another disease, another Sickness to combat. What if we could render all of that meaningless? I want to tell you about a world without the specter of death haunting us for the rest of our days. I want to tell you about the Eclipse!”, declared the leader of the initiative.
In case you want to know more about The Mind’s Eclipse, the studio has released a demo on their itch.io page which takes around 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Aside from the game, you can also purchase a digital artbook and a wallpaper pack, featuring the game’s hand-drawn art.
