Okami HD is Now Available on Switch

A modern classic on the go.

Capcom released Okami HD on Switch today, bringing the stylish adventure of Amaterasu to Nintendo’s handheld console, including touch and motion controls support for both portable and docked mode.

For those who never played Okami before (guilty as charged) in any of the many iterations since the initial release in 2006, the story goes like this: Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess embodies a white wolf to shed light upon the world once more in the world of Nippon. In order to fulfill their task, players will have to use a combination of magic abilities and attacks along with the Celestial Brush, which is the iconic synonym of the motion controls the game initially introduced.

These are present once more on the Switch version, with a higher range of possibilities thanks to the system capabilities. Painting can be done in the touchscreen directly in handheld mode, or in either the TV or tabletop mode by using the joy-con’s motion sensor, resonating with the Wii version.

Okami HD is already available on the eShop for $20 USD and the download will take around 9.1GB of space. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow Capcom on Twitter for the latest news.
