Songbringer Storming to Switch on May 31

Wizard Fu Games announced that the procedural action RPG Songbringer is being released on Switch May 31st, as stated on Twitter last week.

The game is introduced as a “sci-fi action RPG with swords, secrets, dungeons, bosses and stuff.” Roq Epimetheos, the hero of the story and also a dude who loves partying and making music, cruises the galaxy with his skybot Jib aboard the ship Songbringer, searching for verdant planets absent the presence of galactic police.

A hero, a bot and a legendary sword stranded in a procedural world. Prior beginning a quest, players choose a 6-letter world see that generates the planet, overworld, secrets and dungeons. This goes along perfectly with Leaderboards, as players can compete in unique seeds throughout all platforms. Once a quest is finished, there are several factors that produce the final score: time to complete, percentage of map uncovered and items obtained, and if it was regular or permadeath mode.

In April 24, Songbringer received a free updated called The Trial of Ren, adding a new combat-focused dungeon “featuring remixed enemies and a new boss”, the new craftable weapons Hyper Boots and Flamethrower, an item called Battle Meditation and Eiael’s Snare, an item that increases your final score, but also grants all bosses new special attacks and increases the difficulty of enemies.

Aside from its imminent release on the Nintendo hybrid console, Songbringer is already available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to give the devs a follow on Twitter.
