Just Shapes & Beats Releases May 31 on Switch and PC

Shapes & beats, that’s all you need.

Berzerk Studio announced that the multiplayer rhythm game Just Shapes & Beats is releasing on May 31 for Switch and PC. After being confirmed earlier this year, the devs revealed the “officially official” date on Twitter today.

Techno sounds, bright colors and more waves I have ever seen in a video game before.  The trailer showcases a number of unexplicable movements and sounds in a short period of time, along with a glanze over the game’s features: multiplayer up to four and a really catchy and powerful soundtrack. If you don’t believe me, see it for yourself below:

Just Shapes & Beats has been around since 2014, being developed by a team of three members: Em (graphics), Lachhh (programming and game design) and Mike (programming and words). Lachhh is one of the studio’s co-founder and the host of the Youtube show “Indie Your Face“, a show to help fellow indie devs making games for a living. Em is the eyes of the project, making everything shiny and colorful, while Mike is the word wizard and party pooper.

Aside from its music, composed by different collaborations from all around the world, the game shines on itself with its unique art style, taking a minimalistic approach and taking the just shapes” part very seriously. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to follow the devs on Twitter for the latest news.
