Monster Hunter Stories Landed on Android and iOS Devices Today

Capture those monsties from the comfort of the toilet.

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories is now available for mobile devices, including both Android and iOS. You can play a demo to explore the region for free, or pay a unique fee of $19.99 to unlock the full version of the game.

If you ever wondered how it would be to capture rather than destroy monsters to craft the armor set of your dreams, Monster Hunter Stories has flown from its 3DS exclusivity onto mobile devices. This edition includes an auto save feature, a new UI to match a full touch display and HD graphics. You can take a look at the launch trailer below, featuring some of the monsties you’ll recruit for your journey.

Monster Hunter Stories is a captivating change of pace in spin-off form, prioritizing exploration and monster recollection a la Pokémon. But fear not, as it also includes upgrade systems for both weapons and armor sets. The combat is drastically changed, though, focusing on a rock-paper-scissors system. But you can expect all the standard shenanigans from the series, now from a different point of view coming from a tribe that can pet the creatures.

The pocket edition can be played for free with Monster Hunter Stories: The Adventure Begins in Android and iOS, and the full game can be purchased for $19.99 USD in both Google Play and Apple Store.
