Hand of Fate 2 Releasing for Switch on July 17

Defiant Development had this announcement up their sleeve for quite some time.

Defiant Development announced that Hand of Fate 2, the sequel to the mix of hack & slash and deck-building is coming to Switch on July 17. This version will include all existing DLCs released on PC, with even more free updates coming out in the future.

This deck-building subgenre (also known as a RPG-board game hybrid) has been present for quite some time now, and the original Hand of Fate was one of the first to experiment with it, introducing sets of randomized cards that would affect the other half of the game, taking the character into different levels with real-time combat a la Arkham series.

Since the sequel’s initial release back in November 7 of last year, there have been 4 free content updates that added an Endless Mode, new free characters to team up with, separate leaderboards and challenges. On top of that, a small DLC called Outlands and Outsiders came up in June, including a new goblin companion, an entry to a new zone called Mournful Wastes and even more equipment cards to unlock.

Hand of Fate 2 will be available for Switch on July 17, including a whole new storyline with a bigger world map, companions, side-quests and all sorts of ever-changing challenges. Make sure to visit the official site for more information, and don’t forget to give the devs a follow on Twitter.
